DJ Spoony

Born Jonathan Joseph, DJ Spoony is a British garage DJ and former presenter for BBC Radio 1. Born in London, DJ Spoony began his career on London Underground, a pirate radio station, and made his way through Kiss 100 and then to BBC Radio 1 in 2000, winning a Sony Award with his team within their first year.

In 2006, DJ Spoony left BBC Radio 1, and imoved onto hosting the show ‘606’ on Radio 5 Live, interviewing various guests such as David Beckham , Jose Mourinho & Sir Alex Ferguson.. Also in 2006, DJ Spoony took part in Strictly Come Dancing & has made other tv appearances including ‘Mastermind’. Currently he hosts for Premier League TV’s ‘Fanzone’ and has a weekly show every Wednesday on Ministry of Sound radio called ‘House of Groove’.
