Enchanted Ladies Lunch Raises Over £10,000 for Bolton Breast Unit

At Boot Out Breast Cancer, we were delighted to host our Enchanted Ladies Lunch at Rivington Hall Barn, and we’re thrilled to share that the event raised over £10,000 in support of the Bolton NHS Breast Unit.
The afternoon brought together supporters, healthcare professionals and members of our local community for a wonderful day of fundraising, connection and celebration. It was a special reminder of what can be achieved when people come together to support an important cause.
Guests enjoyed a fantastic live performance from Emelina James, whose energy and stage presence lit up the room. Her set, including a special tribute to Tina Turner, created a lively and uplifting atmosphere that had guests singing along and celebrating throughout the afternoon.
A particularly moving moment came from Laura Hudson, who shared her personal cancer journey with honesty and courage. Her story was both emotional and inspiring, offering a powerful reminder of why continued investment in breast care services matters so deeply. Her words resonated throughout the room, especially with the dedicated nurses from the Bolton NHS Breast Unit who joined us on the day.
The event also gave us the opportunity to officially announce Dean Lambert from Monkey Dix Adventures as a Boot Out Breast Cancer ambassador.
Dean has shown incredible commitment to our cause, raising more than £4,500 so far through two remarkable challenges – riding the coast of the UK on a 125cc motorbike and travelling around the coast of Ireland in a Tuk Tuk. His determination, generosity and community spirit continue to inspire us all.
Together with the funds raised through Dean’s challenges, proceeds from the Enchanted Ladies Lunch will go directly towards supporting vital breast cancer diagnostic equipment for the Bolton NHS Breast Unit.
