February Coffee, Cake and Care
On 25th February 2026, we hosted one of our largest Coffee, Cake and Care mornings to date at No. 19 Regents Park Golf Club, welcoming 18 guests for a morning of conversation, compassion and shared understanding.
These mornings are all about creating a safe, supportive space for people who have experienced breast cancer to talk openly about their journeys. From honest reflections on the intensity of treatment to navigating the unexpected quiet once appointments come to an end, there was a powerful sense of reassurance in knowing no one was alone.
We are incredibly grateful to our local community for helping make the morning so special. Dinesh Patel, a long-time supporter of Coffee, Cake and Care, once again generously donated cakes. We were also treated to delicious homemade bakes from guests, including a beautiful vegan walnut cake from Shushila Chauhan of Escala Beauty, who kindly offered relaxing hand massages during the session. Champa Mistry donated stunning cakes made by her niece at Vanilla, decorated with our charity’s name and pink ribbons, and tasting just as wonderful as they looked.
Alongside peer support, we were fortunate to have Becky and Arbina from Bolton NHS Breast Unit join us to provide expert advice and friendly reassurance in an informal setting. Their continued support means so much to us and to those who attend.
While some conversations were deeply personal, the atmosphere was warm, uplifting and full of laughter. Guests shared stories about finding new hobbies, rediscovering simple routines like walking the dog or spending time outdoors, and the unexpected kindness shown by family and friends during challenging times.
Coffee, Cake and Care continues to grow as a vital part of what we do, creating space for connection beyond treatment and reminding everyone affected by breast cancer that support doesn’t stop when hospital appointments do.
