Mastectomy Bra Kits for Tameside Hospital
At the beginning of 2023, Boot Out Breast Cancer paid a visit to Tameside Hospital. This is a center known for providing diagnosis, treatment, and support for people with breast cancer and benign breast conditions. Their breast clinic enables diagnostic tests to be carried out in just one day. These include; breast examinations, mammograms, ultrasound scans, and small needle biopsies. We are delighted to announce that BOBC has donated 100 Mastectomy kits with 30 bras to the fantastic Tameside Hospital.
This kit and bra service gives women confidence after breast cancer surgery. Woman Zone provides bra and swimwear post-mastectomy pocketing ‘Kits’. The owner Marita worked with a company providing prosthetics and came up with this amazing idea. All the bras are of fantastic quality and support, as at first, most women can’t use their arms post-surgery. The bras range up to XXL, and cups A-F+. All kits are provided with charts to help women size up. Woman Zone is in the process of creating a video to help people measure women so they can be as comfortable as possible. The bras come in neutral and bright colours, with matching briefs.
Thank you to everyone as always for donating, we couldn’t do this without you!
