Overview of Ladies Lunch 2023

Boot Out Breast Cancer's Ladies Lunch 2023

The Boot Out Breast Cancer’s Ladies Lunch at Rivington Hall Barn was a resounding success, with attendees and organisers having a wonderful day raising funds for this worthy cause.

The guests were treated to a sumptuous three course meal, great music from Victoria Chesterton and Paul Sutton, and inspiring speeches with the pièce de résistance being Richard Simon adding a comedic twist to his own experience with Male Breast Cancer.

Another highlight of the event was the auction, which featured a range of exclusive items including a set of diamond earrings kindly donated by Sue Hart from Slack and Andrews, and an iPad from Sadie Sumner of the Roydon Group.

After calculating the figures, we are so proud to announce that we raised over £8,000!!! HUGE thank you from the team at Boot Out Breast Cancer.

The entertainment for the day was exceptional, with a diverse range of performers and speakers that kept the attendees engaged and inspired. A highlight of the entertainment was a fashion show by Button Boutique, which showcased beautiful, trendy clothes, and provided an opportunity for guests to see their products up close. In addition to the fashion show, the event featured two very talented singers, including Victoria Chesterton, whose soulful voice captivated the audience and Paul Sutton who managed to get some of the crowd on their feet!

The event also featured speeches from Richard Simon, a survivor of male breast cancer, who shared his story of resilience and hope. We were lucky enough to receive a speech from three nurses who are Bolton NHS staff, who highlighted the importance of breast cancer research and treatment.

They thanked Boot Out Breast Cancer and our supporters for all the kind donations which helped to make this possible. They brought along some of the equipment which Boot Out Breast Cancer has purchased over the years so guests could see first hand what their donations have gone towards. The entertainment for the night was a testament to the organisers’ commitment to creating a memorable and inspiring event for a great cause.

The day was also a great opportunity for attendees to enjoy some retail therapy. There were a number of stalls set up at the event, featuring a range of products and services from various vendors.

The stalls were staffed by knowledgeable and friendly representatives who were happy to answer any questions and offer advice on their products. The presence of the vendors added an extra dimension to the event.

We want to thank everyone for attending, for their continued support and very generous donations. We couldn’t do it without you!
